LT5 Three Piece Carbon Trekking Poles (pair)

Bought these for a week-long trip where every ounce in my pack counted, and the three-piece design packs down small enough to disappear into a side pocket. At 4.9 oz per pole I barely noticed them on the climbs, which is exactly what I wanted.

Didn't believe the 4.9 oz claim until I put them on a kitchen scale. Three sections collapse small enough to fit inside my daypack's side pocket, and my knees noticed the difference on a 12-mile descent.

Swapped these in for my old aluminum pair and the difference on a 12-mile day was obvious — my shoulders weren't wrecked by the end. At 4.9 oz per pole they practically disappear in my hands, though I did have to get used to how little they weigh on descents. The three-piece breakdown fits easily in
