Wasn't sure these would hold up on a rocky scramble but the elastic has serious snap and didn't stretch out after. I've got a family sized bag of chips strapped to the outside and it barely budges.

The bungees have just the right amount of stretch to cinch down a bulky bag without fighting you the whole time. I mostly use them to lash my bear can sideways, and they haven’t slipped once on a rocky climb.

I've been using these to strap my bear canister to the outside of my pack and they've held rock solid through some pretty rough terrain. The elastic tension is just right, easy to hook and release even with gloves on.
