The waffle stitch makes this way stretchier than my old beanie, so it never squeezes my head on long hikes. Gossamer Grey goes with basically everything I own, and it's light enough that I forget I'm wearing it until the wind picks up.

Wore this under my climbing helmet all weekend and barely noticed it was there, which is the best thing I can say about a beanie. The waffle stitch stretches without getting baggy, and it stayed put when I pulled it over my ears at night.

The waffle stitch gives it just the right amount of stretch without feeling tight, and it’s so lightweight I forget I’m wearing it until the cold hits my neck. Cuffing it up around camp works great, but pulled low over my ears is where it really shines on a windy evening.
